The RFPC has the biggest and most modern Fish Processing Plant in the Archipelago. It consists of a set of cold rooms, to store and handle the fishes during the proceess, starting with its reception and storage from the fishermen, followed with the cleaning, packing, storing, until its delivery to the customers.
We handle separate cold rooms for the various presentation of fishes that are commercialized, such as fillet, steak and whole fish.There is a cold room to store the flake ice produced by the ice maker machine, and that is used by the fishermen, in the Plant and at the Point of Sales to conserve properly the quality of the fishes. The fish that enter the Plant as raw material go directly to a coold room that is at 0 oC, just before the processing initiate. The processing room is a huge cold room where the workers comfortably carry through the job of cleaning, cutting and packing the fishes. Also is available a cold room that serves as a freezing tunnel.
All the working tables (seven in total) are stainless, as well as the equipments, like a saw, a vacuum baler, and weighing machines. Also are stainless the knives, axes, descalers, steel gloves and other working tools.
The Plant occupies a total area of 214 m2 (2.303 ft2),and it can stores over 7.800 Kg.
